DREO Whole-Room Heater 720: What a Side-by-Side Video With Lasko Shows

DREO's 720 heater switches between focused and 360° airflow. What Jeremy Moon's sponsored video shows, what DREO claims, and CPSC safety basics.

TL;DR: DREO's Whole-Room Heater 720 is a 1,500W space heater that switches between a focused stream and a 360° mode, in which the top section rises to send air out in all directions. Jeremy Moon of Tech Talk With Jeremy tested it against a 24-inch Lasko 360° oscillating tower in a video sponsored by DREO. The rising top and the all-around airflow are clearly visible in that video. As of Nov 7, 2026, DREO's store lists the 720 at $119.99 but shows it as sold out.

Disclosure: The video below was sponsored by DREO. Separately, Skimwire may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through the affiliate DREO product link on this page. Skimwire did not run its own tests. The observations below come from Jeremy's video, and the specs are DREO's claims.

Tech Talk With Jeremy: DREO Whole-Room Heater 720 vs Lasko (sponsored by DREO, Oct 2026).

What the video shows

  • Two airflow modes you can see. Jeremy taped ribbons to both heaters. The Lasko's ribbons swing as it oscillates, pushing a single column of air from side to side (0:42). When the 720 switches to 360° mode, its top lifts and the ribbons blow outward all the way around (1:34). In focused mode, the air goes straight ahead.
  • Where the heat sits. A thermal camera (1:57 and 2:38) shows the 720's heat concentrated around its outlet. On the Lasko, the warmth spreads further over the housing and base. This was an informal comparison, so read it as a visual impression, not a measurement.
  • The outlet still gets hot. Jeremy touches the top and sides while the heater runs (6:17), but says the outlet area is hot (6:22). Treat it like any heater, and keep kids and pets away from the air outlet.
  • Safety features shown on camera. When tilted, the heater shuts off (5:41). The child lock is set by holding + and Mode together, then counts down and disables the buttons (5:54).
  • Noise. Jeremy found it noticeably quieter than the Lasko, but says he had no decibel meter (2:18). DREO's 25 dB figure is the company's own claim, not something measured in the video.
  • Size. The 720 is a short cylinder, much smaller than the 24-inch Lasko tower, so it's easy to move between rooms.

What DREO claims

According to DREO's product page and heater comparison page (these are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results):

  • 1,500W ceramic (PTC) heating, with three power levels mentioned in the video: 900W, 1,300W and 1,500W
  • Air speed up to 12.8 ft/s in focused mode and 9.5 ft/s in 360° mode
  • Thermostat from 41–95°F in 1° steps, plus an ECO mode, a 12-hour timer and a remote
  • An RGB ring that changes color with room temperature and can be turned off
  • "Shield360" protection, which DREO says covers tip-over and overheat shutoff, a child lock, cool-touch housing, an anti-scald plug, thermal insulation, V-0 flame-retardant material and ETL listing
  • DREO says ECO mode saves "up to 40%" energy. That's a best-case maker figure. Your actual cost depends on your room, your climate and your electricity rates.

Who it suits, and limits

The 720 makes sense if you want one compact heater that can either aim at you or spread warmth around a small to mid-size room. DREO rates the 360° mode for roughly 160–270 sq ft. It won't replace central heating, and an informal video comparison can't tell you how evenly it will heat your particular room.

Space-heater safety (CPSC)

The video discusses bedroom use. Even so, follow the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's guidance for portable electric heaters:

  • Turn portable heaters off before you go to sleep or leave the room. Never run one unattended.
  • Keep beds, sofas, curtains, papers and clothes at least 3 feet from the front, sides and back.
  • Plug it directly into a wall outlet, never an extension cord or power strip. Stop using it if the plug, cord or outlet gets hot.
  • Place it on a stable, level surface, and don't run the cord under rugs.
  • Check SaferProducts.gov for recalls.

Price and availability

As of Nov 7, 2026, DREO's 720 product page lists the Whole-Room Heater 720 at $119.99 but shows it as sold out. That's a listed price, not an offer you can buy right now, and this isn't a deal. DREO's separate "360° only" model, the 725, is a different product, not a version of the 720.
