Affiliate & AI Disclosure
How Skimwire makes money from affiliate links, including the Amazon Associates program, and how we use AI-assisted editorial images.
We want you to know how Skimwire makes money and how our pages are made, so you can judge what you read here.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, Skimwire earns from qualifying purchases. Skimwire is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Some links on Skimwire, including links to Amazon and other retailers or services, are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.
- Affiliate relationships never decide what we cover or what we say about a product.
- We don't accept payment for positive coverage.
- Prices and availability change. Check the retailer's site before you buy.
AI-assisted editorial images
Many feature images on Skimwire are AI-assisted editorial illustrations. They're made to illustrate the topic of a story, not to show what actually happened, and they are not photographs of real people, products or events. When a story uses a real photo, such as an official product image or a press photo, we credit the source where possible.
We don't use AI-generated images to depict real people in misleading ways, or to fake evidence, screenshots or documents.
Sponsorships
Sponsored newsletter slots and site placements are always clearly labeled. Sponsors have no say over our editorial coverage. See Advertise & Sponsor.
