Anker's eufy Omni S2 Pro robot vacuum adds UV-C lights to disinfect your floors

The $1,699 eufy Omni S2 Pro pairs six UV-C LEDs with electrolyzed water and 40,000Pa suction. It's on sale now at eufy.com and Amazon.

The skim

  • Anker's new eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S2 Pro adds six UV-C lights under the robot plus electrolyzed water in the mop, which Anker calls a first for a robot vacuum.
  • Peak suction jumps to 40,000Pa from the regular Omni S2's 30,000Pa, and the dock washes mops in 100°C water and dries them at 55°C.
  • It launched November 1 at $1,699 on eufy.com and Amazon. The 99.99% germ-kill figure comes from Anker's own lab testing.

What's new

The Omni S2 debuted at CES 2026, and the Pro is the upgrade. In its launch announcement, Anker calls it the "world's first robot vacuum to combine UV-C light and electrolyzed water" to disinfect floors.

Here's how that works, according to Anker:

  • UV-C: six 275-nanometer UV-C LEDs on the underside cover a 120-degree area as the robot moves. The array shuts off automatically if the robot is lifted.
  • Electrolyzed water: the system turns tap water into hypochlorous acid, a common disinfectant, which Anker says keeps protecting floors for up to five days. Mopping uses 55°C water.
  • Germ claims: Anker says lab tests showed 99.99% disinfection against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, influenza virus and the mold Aspergillus niger. That's lab testing under controlled conditions, not a guarantee for your kitchen floor.

The rest of the spec sheet is a step up too. The HydroJet 3.0 roller mop is 290mm wide, presses down with 16 newtons of force and is scraped clean eight times per second. AeroTurbo 3.0 suction peaks at 40,000Pa with 100AW of airflow, and Anker says it keeps 97% of its suction after a year. The robot uses 3D time-of-flight sensing to recognize more than 360 kinds of obstacles and objects as small as 1cm, extends a corner-cleaning arm Anker calls CornerRover, and climbs single thresholds up to 3.5cm and double thresholds up to 7cm. It's certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly.

"With the Omni S2 Pro, families have a clean home to return to every day, and we are here to deliver on that promise," said Frank Zhu, general manager of Anker eufy.

Why it matters

Robot vacuum makers have mostly competed on suction numbers and self-emptying docks. Anker is betting the next selling point is hygiene, aimed at homes with kids, pets or allergies. The Verge reports it's available now for $1,699, a premium price even by flagship robovac standards.
